The Hidden Power of Style: Bringing People Together Through Fashion

On November 5, inside the warm, art-filled walls of Manila House BGC, Maude Labs hosted an intimate evening that blended fashion, self-expression, and community. The event featured Ace Harper — a designer whose bold, sculptural pieces carry a distinct narrative energy — and offered guests a deeper look at how style becomes part of one's personal brand.

But more than a fashion gathering, the evening became a quiet yet powerful reminder: what we wear shapes how we see ourselves, how we lead, and how we move forward.

Fashion and Personal Branding

“Style is transformative and it allows us to be the greatest version of ourselves. It's not about labels or luxury, it's really about personal style and how you feel.” Ace Harper said during the dinner

When curated with intention, style becomes a visual language — one that communicates presence, ambition, clarity, and identity. That night, Maude Labs emphasized this truth. Fashion is not superficial. It is a strategy. It is storytelling. It is a personal brand in motion.

She added, “Just have fun with it. Fashion is supposed to be playful and fun.”

Your clothing can be your softest confidence, your quietest assertion, your clearest introduction. And in the world of founders, creatives, and leaders, that matters. What you wear becomes an extension of your message and a preview of your values before you speak.

Style as Self-Care & Self-Investment

Dressing with intention is a form of self-respect. It’s choosing to show up aligned, polished, and grounded. Ace Harper’s pieces — strong yet fluid, structured yet expressive — embodied this idea. They reminded everyone that good style isn’t vanity; it’s a way of honoring yourself.

It’s choosing clothing that reflects who you are becoming.

A Runway of Stories: The Mini Fashion Walk

One of the highlights of the evening was a mini fashion walk, where guests witnessed Harper’s pieces come alive. Each look told a story of bold femininity, of evolution, of inner strength translated into silhouette.

Ace shared how one of her design collections was inspired by her own journey of motherhood. Each piece has an inspirational story behind it.

The audience experienced viewing the clothes not just for the colors or the design but also the story and intentional story behind it.

Community at the Center: The Bond Built Over Dinner

Beyond the clothes, the night’s most beautiful thread was the sense of community that unfolded around the table. The dinner gathered women and founders who didn’t just share a meal but also shared reflections, laughter, stories, and moments of recognition.

There was a palpable sense of belonging. That evening became a space where everyone could be seen for who they are and who they are becoming. This feeling of belongingness has been one of the main goals of why Maude Labs are organizing these dinners.

The conversations moved effortlessly between personal journeys, creative pursuits, and the challenges of leadership. The shared experience of style and inspiration created an emotional bridge between strangers and friends alike.

It became clear that the real magic of the event wasn’t just the fashion.

It was the community built in between courses, in between stories, in between moments of “me too,” “I see you,” and “I’ve been there.”

This is what Maude Labs does best: crafting spaces where women can show up fully, and where personal brand becomes not just an external projection, but a shared experience of growth.
